Call for Presentations

- Call for Presentations -

For the 4th time, a Bioinformatics Satellite Workshop will take place after the German meeting on Stem cells, after the Stem Cell Network NRW - 6th International International Meeting, on April 7th, 2011, 9:20- approx. 18h, at the Robert-Koch-Haus, Virchowstr. 179, Essen, Raum 0.38, EG.

Website: http://project.informatik.uni-osnabrueck.de/stemcell-bioinformatics.

Confirmed speakers are (as of January 2011): Simon Tomlinson, Edinburgh, UK, and Franz-Josef Müller, Kiel.

You are invited to submit an abstract for a talk describing your work. The deadline for submission is February 12, 2011. Please send your abstract and/or questions to stemcell-bioinformatics'at'informatik.uni-osnabrueck.de, and expect a response (whether your abstract has been accepted) by February 15, 2010.
If you need a decision earlier than February 15, please submit your abstract as soon as possible and let us know, and we will try to consider your request.

Presentations by experimentalists describing their data & their open questions regarding data analysis are very welcome. Short talks (5-15 minutes) by experimentalists are strongly encouraged and it is OK if these just describe "your bioinformatics needs". A panel of bioinformatics experts from Edinburgh, Kiel, Aachen, Berlin, Münster and Rostock will try to give you feedback, and possibly collaborations can be started.

The length of the abstract should not exceed 300 words.

Presenters of accepted abstracts will be given a 20-minute time slot (plus 5 minutes for questions) in the workshop schedule.
A poster session is planned if the slots for oral presentations are oversubscribed. Accepted abstracts will be published on the Website.

Please feel free to distribute this invitation to interested colleagues.

For further information about the workshop, please visit our web site, http://project.informatik.uni-osnabrueck.de/stemcell-bioinformatics. Here, you can also find information about registering for the workshop (which is mandatory, but at no cost).
